HI, I'M CATE :)

I'm so happy you're here! I started my own health and wellness journey as a teen, navigating the often confusing and contradictory world of fitness. It wasn't long before I noticed the overwhelming physical and mental health benefits that came with even a novice exercise routine.

In 2018, I received my personal trainer certification while simultaneously studying the fields of psychology and criminology. The way these fields overlapped, particularly in exercise and mental health, was always of particular interest to me. In 2020, I founded Elevation Fitness where I began working with clients one-on-one in a humble garage gym (shout out to my original crew!).
My "real" career began in 2022 when I graduated with a master's in Forensic Mental Health Counseling. I began working full-time in the mental health field, forcing me to reduce my personal training caseload and eventually move to virtual coaching when I relocated out of state. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in New Hampshire and work full-time with individuals experiencing mild to severe mental health diagnoses and intellectual disabilities.

I knew that my soul was meant to merge these two passions and provide individuals with a coaching approach that utilizes evidence-based techniques to help you reach your fitness goals while also supporting psychological healing.

Finally, in 2023 I became a Certified Trauma-informed Weightlifting Coach and have begun implementing these techniques within my work as a mental health professional and as a personal trainer.

I understand that entering the fitness world and becoming active can be overwhelming, anxiety-inducing, and very scary! I also know that with the right support, anyone can experience the incredible benefits of moving our bodies. I'd love to be that support for you.

- Cate
